DIY all natural ingredients, homemade hair conditioner recipe

Here's a simple homemade hair conditioner recipe using coconut oil, shea butter, aloe vera, and avocado oil:

  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil

  • 2 tablespoons shea butter

  • 2 tablespoons aloe vera gel (preferably pure and organic)

  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil

  1. Prepare a Double Boiler: Fill a small saucepan with a couple of inches of water and bring it to a simmer over low to medium heat. Place a heat-safe bowl over the saucepan to create a double boiler.

  2. Melt Coconut Oil and Shea Butter: Add the coconut oil and shea butter to the heat-safe bowl. Allow them to melt gently, stirring occasionally with a spoon or spatula. Once melted, remove the bowl from the heat.

  3. Add Aloe Vera and Avocado Oil: Once the coconut oil and shea butter are melted, add the aloe vera gel and avocado oil to the mixture. Stir well to combine all the ingredients thoroughly.

  4. Cool and Whip: Allow the mixture to cool slightly, but not completely solidify. You want it to still be soft enough to whip. Using a hand mixer or stand mixer, whip the mixture on medium to high speed until it becomes creamy and smooth. This may take a few minutes.

  5. Transfer to Container: Once whipped to your desired consistency, transfer the conditioner to a clean, airtight container. A glass jar or plastic tub works well for storing homemade hair conditioner.

  6. Application: To use, apply a small amount of the conditioner to clean, damp hair after shampooing. Focus on the mid-lengths and ends of your hair, avoiding the roots. Leave the conditioner on for a few minutes, then rinse thoroughly with warm water.

  7. Storage: Store the homemade conditioner in a cool, dry place. It should keep well for several weeks to a few months, depending on the freshness of the ingredients used.

This homemade hair conditioner is rich in moisturizing and nourishing ingredients like coconut oil, shea butter, aloe vera, and avocado oil, leaving your hair soft, smooth, and hydrated. Adjust the proportions of the ingredients according to your hair's needs and your personal preferences. Enjoy your DIY hair care creation!
